Describe my website project

A website that fits your starting point.

The work does not always start from scratch. We identify what is worth keeping, which information is missing and which journeys need attention before agreeing the deliverables.

Create your first business website

We use your business and audience as the starting point for a sitemap and page plan: company, services, work and contact, where relevant. The quote sets out the page count, the material you need to provide and any copywriting or image research included in the assignment.

Redesign an existing website

We review the current pages and content to separate what remains useful from what needs to change. Structure, mockups and enquiry journeys are prepared before development. The capabilities of the existing platform and any proposed page address changes are considered when defining the scope.

Introduce a new service

A dedicated page may be enough to explain a service, answer common questions and lead to an enquiry. We define its role within the site and prepare the structure, copy and contact points covered by the quote, keeping the project focused on what is needed.

A website that helps your business move forward.

Being seen is a start. The aim is to turn a visit into an enquiry, a booking or a purchase, depending on your business.

Receive relevant enquiries

A clear offer, reassuring examples of work and easy-to-find contact details help visitors take the first step.

THE METRICSform submissions, quote requests and appointments booked.

Make purchasing easier

In a shopping journey, clear information and fewer unnecessary steps make decisions easier. Sales are checked against actual orders, then compared with the traffic received.

THE METRICSpurchases, revenue and the share of visits that lead to an order.

Understand what works

Comparing pages and traffic sources helps focus improvements on the journeys that bring enquiries or customers.

THE METRICSenquiries or purchases by page and traffic source.
How do we measure progress?

Start with an objective and compare over time.

Define the action that matters to your business: request a quote, make an appointment, book or buy. Then measure how many visits lead to that action. This distinguishes the traffic received from the results of the journey.

We choose the tracking tools and metrics to suit your business, your objective and the agreed scope of support.

Enquiry rate = visits with at least one enquiry ÷ website visits. 24 / 1,200 = 2%; 54 / 1,800 = 3%, an increase of 1 percentage point.

An example of tracking: comparing visits with enquiries received helps show whether the website makes it easier to get in touch.

The enquiries and their qualification are fictional. Sales and revenue are not inferred from traffic.

Before we begin

What should I prepare for a new website or redesign?

Your current website address, services, intended audiences, brand assets and available content provide a useful starting point. Tell us about any tools that must stay, such as a booking system or customer area. Together, we agree what needs creating and which elements require your approval.

Does a redesign mean changing my hosting or platform?

Not necessarily. We first review the capabilities of the existing setup and the requirements of the project. Any recommended change is explained and costed in the proposal. You remain in control of the relevant accounts, with access arrangements agreed together.

What is included when the website is handed over?

The quote lists the pages, functions, screen layouts and checks included. It also defines the handover material, introductory guidance, hosting and responsibilities after launch. Maintenance, ongoing changes and new content can be covered by a separate support arrangement.
